The students staff and the MTU, AFROTC Detachment 400, Arctic Blizzard Drill Team would like to thank veterans and the men and women currently serving for their sacrifices and service to our country. The school’s students, staff, and community celebrated Veterans’ Day on the morning of the 11th. |

On October 6, 2009, Jean Dunstan, Middle School Teacher was awarded the A Day Made Better award from Office Max. Mrs. Dunstan was nominated due to the fact she is always striving to incorporate best practices in her classroom and is exemplified by her spearheading efforts to incorporate place-based instruction and service learning. She is one of the first to raise her hand for grant writing and to facilitate and assist in reforming curriculum. Mrs. Dunstan was awarded $1,000 in supplies from Office Max including a new digital camera, printer, a leather desk chair, a case of paper, and classroom supplies.
